5727 - A Solo Exhibit by Racqel McMullins
Friday, September 6th 2024 - Friday, September 20th 2024
5727 is an exhibit of sticky notes of admiration. Reminders of who I am. An exhibit composed of pieces created out of being sick and tired of putting things on hold. This show provides a glimpse of inner thoughts and tales that expresses the self-discovery journey I’ve been on for the last few years. Looking inward and searching for what I like, what characteristics make me, and answering who do I want to become and be remembered for? Through revisiting the stories behind my art and life it made me realize that who I am as an artist will always tell a story.
One may ask, why name this show 5727? Simple. It's the oldest piece in the show. 5,727 days old as of opening night.
